How to Grow Celery Celebrity
Sowing Time: February to April (in heat)
Sowing Suggestion:
I would suggest sowing Celery Celebrity seeds on the surface of a moist compost. DO NOT cover Celery seeds as light aids germination. Seal in a polythene bag or cover with glass until germination, which for Celery seeds takes about 10-16 days.
Growing Celery Celebrity:
Gradually acclimitise to outdoor conditions before planting Celery Celebrity in late Spring, after all risk of frost has passed. The final spacing for Celery Celebrity should be approx. 23cm (9ins) each way in blocks, NOT rows.
Harvesting Time: August onwards
Helpful Hints: Water Celery Celebrity copiously in dry spells. Pick Celery sticks from late July onwards and harvest them all before the frosts.
Celery Celebrity's Nutritional Information:
Celery and Celeriac are high in fibre but low in calories. They are a good source of potassium and have long been suggested as a way of lowering blood pressure.
Cookery Suggestion:
Celery is fantastic as part of a Beetroot and Celery salad.
Average Celery Celebrity Seeds per packet: Approx. 240 Seeds
